Open Day and Players Tea

Kim Giddens, MLA for Bateman, kindly agreed to roll the first bowl of the season at our open day on afternoon of Friday 25th October 2024. This was followed by a game of 2-bowl triples pop-stick draw with the winning team being Lorraine Sweetman, Janet Yakas and Hank Vanzon.

Then we enjoyed a Player’s Tea where the Selectors and the Bowls Committee hosted proceedings. It also allowed Craig Stokes, the past President, to award Life member badges to Gordon Manuel and Steve Flynn. The third winner, Carol Vanzon, had already been presented with her badge by the ladies.

Another grand evening with special thanks to John Hampson for donating bottles of wine for the quiz.
